Healthworks rural leadership initiative
COMMUNITY & SOCIAL CONTEXT PATHWAY
This social determinant focuses on work at the community level to improve social integration, support systems, community engagement, and reduce stress and discrimination.
Our goal is to create a tipping point of leaders who are trained in the social determinants of health, and have an increased awareness of how they impact overall health and health inequities.
These are the people who will become the next community leaders, the people who will use their skills to impact policies, systems, and environment change through a health lens (i.e. walking trails, prioritize outdoor recreation, create healthy food policies within their places of influence).
Members of the Initiative Team, along with other community members interested in leadership, were invited to join a conversation about the HealthWorKS Leadership Initiative with the goal of creating a HealthWorKS task force.
For the inaugural class of the KLC Your Leadership Edge online training, our goal is to recruit up to 12 participants. If you are interested in the KLC training or want to learn more about HealthWorKS, contact us via the button below.
We want to be leaders who train up other leaders. Individuals who go through the online training will become mentors for the 2022 KLC Your Leadership Edge training, and continue to invest in health, wellness, and leadership in Grant County.
